Brand creation for an over-the-moon allergen-free food start-up.

When plagued with over 13 food allergies for her entire life, college student Kassidy Allen decided to make a dent in the world of clean, safe eating. Her plan: develop a company that will provide tasty, healthy, ready-to-eat food, education, and peace of mind for people struggling with food allergies. Enter krescent foods.
The Challenge: In a sea of numerous meal prep delivery services, krescent Foods needed to clearly stand out as a safe alternative for people plagued with food allergies. The crescent moon has personal meaning to Kassidy and the use of teal blue color needed to be included since it used to indicate allergen-free food.
The Result: Houck Creative conducted a brand study including competitive marketplace and visual inspiration boards. We then developed brand colors and the logo, along with numerous tagline suggestions. Graphics were created for all mediums including social media, stationary, digital and print collateral, packaging and video intro/outro.
Update: Kassidy recently received the “Future Texas Business Legend” award from the Texas Business Hall of Fame for her academic accomplishments and her entrepreneurial efforts with krescent Foods. Congratulations!
